So this morning, I went 65 mph from OHB southeast of town all the way to the 440 split. Then, suddenly, without warning, everything came to a screeching halt right before the curve onto 40. It took me less than 15 minutes to get from La Vergne to 440 (11 miles), and 25 minutes to get from the the I-24/I-40 split to Church Street (5 miles).
For my out of town friends, Nashville has 3 major interstate thoroughfares that converge into 2 lanes downtown.
Two questions: 1) who was the genius who planned this? 2) who is the genius who is going to step up to fix it?
Thank you, and have a nice day.
